Gardening participation in the US is high, with 80% of households engaging in lawn and gardening activities, and spending on these activities rose to an average of $616 per household in 2022. Research consistently shows that children with engaging parents are more likely to achieve academic success, have better attendance, and display better behavior, highlighting the crucial role of parental involvement in a child's overall well-being. A strong sense of identity, or knowing who you are and what you stand for, is a crucial aspect of healthy development, particularly during adolescence.
